My browser says it doesn't recognize the jnlp extension.

To use the designer software you'll need to install the free Java run-time environment, which is preinstalled on most computers but not on all. Just follow the easy download and installation instructions at java.com.

The Map Designer Software runs, but I don't see the Earth.

This occurs on older computers running Microsoft Windows and on newer ones with defective graphics software. It's almost always resolved by installing up-to-date graphics software from the computer manufacturer. Just visit the Downloads or Drivers area of the Support section of the manufacturer's web site, or the same area at the web site of the manufacturer of the computer's graphics system, typically Nvidia, ATI or Intel. To determine the manufacturer and model ID of your graphics system, open the Run... item in the Windows Start menu, type the command dxdiag, and view the Display tab of the resulting window.

Are Anvil 3D models safe?

Yes. The manufacturer of our 3D printers has conducted extensive testing to ensure that when used as a display piece they represent no harm to people. They are not intended to be used as play pieces or toys. If broken, they should be discarded using regular waste disposal so children do not ingest fragments and create choking hazards.

Are Anvil 3D models breakable?

3D printed models, like most things, are breakable. They are fragile like glass or ceramics. They will standup well to normal handling, but are susceptible to being dropped and chipped or broken which could result in sharp edges and small fragments. Exposure to direct sunlight will cause them to fade.

What are the 3D models made of?

The 3D models consist primarily of plaster based powder to provide shape and structure, and a special polymer to add strength and toughness.

Where are the models made?

All of the 3D printing is done at our office in Charlotte, NC.  The software and manufacturing equipment used to create them are made in the United States.

Can I order copies of my 3D model?
